The 90-day report (TM47): when and how to file
Rules checked: 1 October 2026. Immigration practice varies by office and changes over time. Check with your local immigration office before you go.
If you stay in Thailand for more than 90 days in a row, you need to tell immigration where you're living every 90 days. This is the 90-day report, filed on form TM47. It doesn't extend your stay. It confirms your address.
Who needs to file
- Foreigners who stay in Thailand for more than 90 consecutive days, on any visa or extension.
- Leaving Thailand ends the count. Your next report is due 90 days after you re-enter.
When to file
- The window opens 15 days before your due date and closes 7 days after it.
- Filing late can mean a fine at the immigration office.
How to file
- Online, at the official TM47 portal. Online requests can be refused. If yours is, file in person.
- In person, at the immigration office that covers your address.
- Some offices accept reports by registered post. Check with your office.
What to bring (in person)
- Your passport, plus copies of the photo page, your latest entry stamp, and your visa or extension page.
- Your last 90-day receipt, if you have one.
- A completed TM47 form. Many offices also have blank copies.
How ThaiTrack helps
ThaiTrack works out your due date from your last entry or report, reminds you when the window opens, and opens the official TM47 portal in the app. With Sabai, it fills in what it can from your profile. You check and submit.
